MoU on solid waste management in Chennai

According to The Quint, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is expected to be signed between the Belgian capital Brussels and the Greater Chennai Corporation, in order to facilitate funding from multilateral agencies for infrastructure development in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The MoU should focus on the development of a smart city in the area, urban planning and solid waste management. The MoU will favour multilateral agencies funding for waste management projects such as Waste-to-Energy, landfilling, reuse and recycling.
