MPCB warns of action against Pune MC for waste-burning

The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) has threatened to take legal action against the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) due to recurrent incidents of waste burning in different residential areas. MPCB reportedly sent PMC several notices, but nothing was done.

Pune residents have long complained about PMC employees burning waste unauthorisedly, according to Hindustan Times.
