Municipalities sign Memorandum of Understanding in Bandhwari

The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) and Municipal Corporation of Faridabad (MCF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop a WtE plant in Bandhwari in the State of Haryana, the Hindustan Times reports. According to officials, a Chinese firm will help the corporations to segregate the waste. As in previous articles, the name of the company is not mentioned. The plant shall produce 10 MW of electricity per day and shall cost INR 3.3 billion (EUR 44.8 million). According to the article, residential, commercial and industrial establishments in both cities produce more than 1,250 tonnes of municipal waste per day. The plant would comprise an AD facility, a composting facility, an RDF production facility, an RDF power plant, a flue gas treatment facility, a leachate treatment plant and a sanitary landfill.
