New information on WtE project in Badarpur

As Delhi runs out of dumping ground, state-run generation utility National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has stepped in at the behest of South Delhi Municipal Corporation and agreed to set up a solid waste management plant at its Badarpur power station, the Times of India reports. According to the article, NTPC is planning a WtE plant with a capacity to process 400 tonnes of garbage per day from South Delhi Municipal Corporation. The company is inviting bids from companies with technology and experience in setting up waste management plants. According to the source, the project could cost up to INR 3 billion (EUR 40.7 million).
