The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is all set to stop collecting non-segregated garbage from houses and commercial establishments.

The civic body is also planning to fine residents and commercial establishments who do not segregate waste.

The Times of India reports that partitions have been made in 400 vehicles to collect and store wet and dry garbage separately. Concerned concessionaires have also been instructed to first transport wet garbage in big vehicles to Bhandewadi dumping yard, followed by dry waste.
