Nagpur to set up new facility to recycle C&D waste

Waste from construction projects and debris across Nagpur will be recycled. These materials are now being gathered by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). For this project, NMC has hired Re Sustainability (formerly known as Ramky Enviro).

In Bhandewadi, five acres have been set aside for the construction of a waste recycling processing facility. The project is expected to finish in December. The unit will be capable of processing and recycling 200 tonnes of C&D waste each day which will be used to manufacture construction sand, bricks, paver blocks, and tiles. The corporation plans to deploy its entire infrastructure to collect waste from the city, reports LiveNagpur.com.
