Navi Mumbai WtE plans receive approval

WtE plans proposed by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) have been approved by the civic body’s General Body. The planned facility would be located near NMMC’s Turbhe landfill and have a generation capacity of 8 to 10 MW. However, earlier sources stated the planned generation capacity would amount to 4 to 6 MW. Investments are projected to amount to INR 1.8 billion (USD 26.7 million). This was reported by the Times of India.
