New biogas plant coming to Tirumala

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL ) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a biogas plant running on wet waste in Tirumala, Andhra Pradesh.

This project is said to be worth INR 120 million (EUR 1.46 million) and is to be set up as a joint venture with TTD and IOCL. Both partners are supposed to invest INR 60 million (EUR 727,537). The facility is to be erected on two acres of land and process 35 tpd of wet waste feedstock, as further reported.
