Three Bio-CNG plants to be set up in Delhi in 2023

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has “initiated” work for two digesters for an integrated bio-CNG fuel station in North Delhi’s Narela region in Ghogha. The first raw material should be sent to the plants in December 2022 and full commissioning is due for March 2023.

A Memorandum of Understanding for “a number of” CBG plants and CBG-CNG fuelling stations was signed by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation and Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) in January 2022.

As further stated in the new source, three bio CNG units are to become operational in 2023 in Delhi: A 200 tpd plant in Ghogha, a 300 tpd plant in Okhla (expected for July 2023) and 100 a tpd plant in Hastsak, West Delhi, expected for April 2023.
