New biomass power plant proposed in Raipur

The Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board has approved plans by iron manufacturer Vandana Global Limited to develop a biomass power plant in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

The plant should be fuelled with rice husk and have a capacity of 6 MWel. However, the source does not provide further information on the project.
