New C&D recycling plant underway in Vellalore

As reported by The Times of India, the civic body of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, will call for a tender to build a construction and debris recycling plant. The plant is estimated to cost about INR 90 million and will have a capacity of approximately 200 tons a day. According to the civic body, the city currently produces 100 tons of debris daily, most of which is being dumped illegally. The plant that is planned on a site of 100 acres near the Velladore dump yard is believed to combat these illegal activities.
