French company Technip Energies and India-based APChemi have agreed to cooperate on chemical recycling.

The cooperation intends to commercialise the technologies of both companies. The Pyromax process developed by APChemi helps in producing pyrolysis oil for the extraction of raw materials from plastic waste, whereas Pure.rOil, developed by Technip Energies, enables the treatment and purification of pyrolysis oils.

As further stated, new plants for extracting pyrolysis oils are expected to be built outside of India as part of their partnership.
