In its latest hearing, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) has come to the decision that the leader of the Shimla WtE project, Elephant Energy Private Limited, has until July 15th, 2017, to get the facility operational. If the company fails to adhere to that, it will be fined for each additional day after the deadline, where the plant is still not up and running. The deadline had been missed multiple times already; this is the fourth deadline that has been set for the project. This was reportd by Tribune India.
