New Delhi and HTF agree on MoU for new WtE site

According to The Hindu, the state government of New Delhi and HTF Urban Infrastructure of New Delhi have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for building a WtE plant. The source does not specify the plant’s possible location. Reportedly, the MoU was signed on the first day of the ongoing CII Partnership Summit. HTF Urban Infrastructure should invest Rs. 135 crore in the project. As further reported, the plant is expected to generate energy from MSW, providing direct and indirect employment for 2,500 people.
