As part of the development plan Bhosari Vision 2020, a new WtE project at the landfill in Moshi, Pune Metropolitan Region was mentioned. The announcement lacked specific details but the plans are said to have the backing of the state government. According to The Times of India, the Bhosari Vision 2020 agenda is part of the region’s goal to rank among India’s most developed regions in the future.
