The Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) has proposed to embark on massive development in terms of waste management, infrastructure and health. As reported by The Times of India, part of what is being considered for better management of waste includes the construction of 6 new composting plants, the construction of a waste processing facility and the establishment of a Waste-to-Energy plant (WtE), which should be realised as a PPP project.
