A new AD unit has been commissioned at the Gau dairy farm located in the Thegra area of Kota, Rajasthan, the Hindustan Times reports. The plant was installed 4 months ago by the brothers Gagandeep Singh, Amanpreet Singh and Uttamjyot Singh. Accordingly, the plant has a 80 kV generation capacity and is currently generating 40 kV. The daily feedstock throughput amounts to 5 tons of cow dung. The farm itself has a livestock of 120 cows. As furthermore stated, the AD plant currently does not cover the farm’s entire energy demand. Therefore, the farm also receives energy from power from distribution companies (Discom) as well as from solar power systems.
