NGT committee to take stock of compliance on SWM Rules

The first meeting of a committee constituted by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) on the issue of compliance of the Municipal Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 will be held on November 19 in New Delhi.

The remediation of more than 4000 legacy waste dump sites is high on the agenda.

The Indian Express reports that the agenda for the meeting includes technologies proposed by the Central Pollution Control Board and remediation of legacy waste dump sites.
