India’s National Green Tribunal (NGT) has ruled in favour of the Delhi Okhla WtE plant, allowing it to continue operations. The respective lawsuit was filed by local residents, who wanted the plant to stop operations because of alleged breaches of environmental standards. However, the NGT issued a set of additional operational rules for the facility, emphasizing that the plant operator would face fines for non-compliance. According to The Indian Express, the Delhi Okhla WtE plant was opened in 2012 and has a treatment capacity of around 470,000 tpy.
