All state Pollution Control Boards and Pollution Control Committees have been ordered by the National Green Tribunal to provide status reports on the operation of e-waste recycling industries that are generating environmental degradation and health dangers in their territories.

The NGT bench, led by Chairperson Adarsh Kumar Goel, also directed the Central Pollution Control Board to ascertain compliance status in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh in light of previous orders by holding an online discussion on the issue and submitting a consolidated report by the next hearing on May 27.
