The Jaipur WtE project was reported to have stalled, as no Power Purchasing Agreement (PPA) for the plant has been finalised so far. According to The Economic Times, plant construction should be handled by Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (VVNL) under a PPP scheme with the Jaipur Municipal Corporation. It was indicated that the facility should treat inorganic residual garbage. Waste generation in Jaipur amounts to around 1,250 tpd, 350 tpd of which are used to produce RDF for cement companies and 250 tpd are sent to composting.
