No progress at Bhubaneswar WtE project

Construction of the WtE plant planned in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, has still not begun. Apparently, the main reasons for the delay are conflicts about the feed-in tariff for the electricity to be produced. However, older sources were stating that the delay was also caused by a change of the plant technology provider. The current source states that technology supplied by Hitachi should be used at the proposed 11.5 MW plant. The facility’s bottom ashes are planned to be used for producing building material. This was reported by the New Indian Express.
