According to The Times of India, the controversial New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (Noida) WtE project in Sector 123, Uttar Pradesh, has entered the construction phase. Works began by constructing a landfill, which will be in close proximity to the WtE plant and should help the city in dealing with its daily generation of 600 tons of waste. Both, the landfill and WtE plant, are facing major public resistance due to health concerns. Up to this point, no technical details are available in relation to the proposed WtE plant.
