After the AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) government had originally agreed to shut down or relocate the Okhla WtE plant in New Delhi because it reportedly does not adhere to emission standards, the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has stated that the plant will remain operational. Residents of the Delhi district of Sukhdev Vihar are now concerned about their health, even though DPCC has assured that the plant would have to meet certain standards by the end of 2016. This was reported by the Times of India.
