Operational Kolhapur MBT plant awaits permission

The MBT facility in Kolhapur, which is already operational, is waiting for official permission to start commercial operations, according to The Times of India. A two-member expert team has collected samples of the RDF processed at the facility at every stage. The Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) will decide to grant permission based on these samples. The plant processes fresh waste, inert material and RDF. The fresh waste is collected from hotels and households and is treated in the biogas plant, and the electricity generated will be used onsite.
