Opposition against WtE and landfilling plans in Noida

According to Outlook India, the National Green Tribunal has directed a Noida-based association of homeowners to approach the Uttar Pradesh government and the NOIDA (New Okhla Industrial Development Authority) with its plea on the opposition of the Waste-to-Energy and landfill site location. As reported earlier, the association claimed that the proposed Sector 123 site was unfit for setting up a landfill and Waste-to-Energy plant due to air and water pollution.
