Patna to set up 4 waste management plants

The Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) plans to establish four waste processing plants to achieve 100% disposal of waste materials from the landfill site and to reduce air pollution. These plants will include a smart material recovery facility plant, two bio-methanisation plants, a construction and demolition waste plant, and a waste-to-energy plant. The PMC hopes that these plants will help the city achieve good scores in Swachh Survekshan. The state and central governments will fund the plants in the ratio of 75% and 25%, respectively, reports The Times of India.
