Plans for new AD plant in Sonipat

Plans provide for setting up a new AD facility in the city of Sonipat, Haryana. As stated by The Statesman, the urban areas of Haryana are divided into 15 clusters. The plant should be erected in the so-called Sonipat cluster, which includes Sonipat, Panipat, Samalkha and Ganaur towns. When operational, it is expected to accept 650 tpd of household waste coming from Sonipat and Panipat. The plant will produce electricity, compost and biogas. Investment costs are estimated to reach Rs 176 crore (EUR 23.79 million).
