Plans for WtE plant in Jawaharnagar

According to Waste Management World, India-based waste management and environmental services company Ramky Enviro Engineers (REE), is to begin construction of a 3,100 tons per day, 40 MW WtE facility in Jawaharnagar, Andhra Pradesh, in cooperation with Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s (GHMC). REE will receive technological support from Chinese WtE specialist Sanfeng-Covanta, a joint venture of which Covanta owns 40 per cent. According to GHMC officials, the emissions os the incinerators will comply with EU pollution standards. The costs for constructing all four lines of the facility are estimated to amount to INR 6,237.6 million (USD 115 million).
