Plans to construct C&D recycling plants in Maharashtra

According to The Indian Express, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI) have plans to build C&D waste recycling facilities. As a first step, both partners have identified 10 possible sites for landfilling construction waste. These locations, however, are mainly seen as a temporary solution. The final solution aimed at by the partners is setting up C&D waste recycling facilities. As further stated, BMC has already issued a tender for a C&D waste recycling plant, which is expected to be developed within 6 to 8 months after completion of the tender.
