WtE plant to be set up in Nellore

The Hans India reports indicate that the mayor of the Indian city of Nellore plans to develop a WtE plant in the village of Sarvepalli in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. The step comes after the district of Nellore received a low ranking in comparison to other Indian cities in regards to implementing the goals of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign that aims to clean up the streets, roads and infrastructure of India’s cities, smaller towns and rural areas. The technology to be installed at the project to generate energy from waste is not disclosed in the source.
