Plastic recycling plant in Kozhikode may be re-opened

The civic body-owned West Hill Recycling plant in Kozhikode, Kerala, may resume operation under the control of a new contractor that is likely to be Niravu. The plant, which was shut down due to difficulties with nearby residing people in August this year, was built in 2013 and can process about 1 ton of plastic per day, converting it into granules and pellets to manufacture pipes. This was reported by The Times of India.
