PMC to cancel Patna WtE project agreement for the second time

The Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has stated to be initiating the process to cancel the WtE agreement with AG Dauters Waste Processing Private Ltd. As reported by The Times of India, the company was awarded the contract to construct a Waste-to-Energy plant in the municipality after PMC had cancelled the initial agreement with Sunil HiTech Engineers Limited (SHEL). A PMC official cited that the second cancellation is due to delays in the work by the company, while the company claimed that a delay in getting environment clearance for the project was the reason behind the slow progress. AG Dauters was supposed to set up a Waste-to-Energy plant with the capacity to generate 280 MWel.
