Reliance Industries to invest in waste management start-ups

Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL), a polymer fiber manufacturer and one of the largest recyclers of post-consumer waste (e.g. PET bottles) in India, has announced plans to invest in waste management start-ups. The goal of this initiative is to find a solution for disposable non-recyclable plastic waste. As reported by Inc42, in such a collaboration, jointly owned intellectual property should be developed. However, the source does not state any information on the planned investment volume.
