Preparatory works started at Brahmapuram WtE project

According to the Deccan Chronicle, preparatory works have now started at the 300 tpd Brahmapuram WtE facility in Kochi, Kerala. Reportedly, the Kerala state government has accelerated the process of granting final clearances for the WtE project. Despite preparatory works have only just began, the foundation stone for the project was already laid on 9 April. The plant should have a capacity of 5 to 6 MW and is due to start operations in 18 months. However, the first waste from municipal corporations is expected to be delivered within 10 to 12 months from now. Investment should amount to INR 3.75 billion (EUR 46.77 million).
