The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has directed the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) to submit an affidavit on the status of the proposed Waste-to-Energy plant in Daruthenga, Odisha region. The new facility should prevent continuous dumping at the Tulasadehipur dump yard. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is strongly supporting the project. However, the future of the project remains unclear. This is reported by the New Indian Express.
