Pune: Door-to-door e-waste collection begins

The Pune Civic Corporation (PMC) has started a trial programme to collect electronic waste from Pune citizens, including old phone bills, TVs, PCs, and other devices. The PMC, Adaar Poonawala Clean City Initiative, and Purnam Ecovision Foundation will work together to implement the initiative to collect e-waste from homes.

E-waste from homes will be collected by three Mahindra Trio Zor vehicles. While the facility will service the entire city, the first phase will focus on serving six wards on a pilot basis. However, at this time, the facility will not take CFLs or tube lights.
