The Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB), the administrative body of a military site in the state of Telanga, was reported to be planning to set up an RDF production facility. However, the proposal was said to have sparked protests as the plant is supposed to be located near a community hall. According to The Times of India, the project is part of a scheme to improve waste management in the military cantonment.
