RDF plant to be commissioned in Shimla

According to the unnamed project developer, a RDF plant in Shimla, state of Himachal Pradesh, will be operational again by October 15. Commercial operations are apparently scheduled to restart on December 15, as reported by The Times of India. India’s National Green Tribunal (NGT) announced to sanction Shimla Municipal Corporation (SMC) and the developer if problems should occur at the site. Last year, the NGT ordered local waste to be sent to Chandigarh for treatment. SMC has also propsoed a WtE project earlier this year.
