RDF production planned for Noida

According to The Hindustan Times, the municipal authorities of Noida and Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, have received clearance by the responsible state-level environment impact assessment authority (SEIAA) to set up a new waste disposal site at the village of Astoli. Although the main component of the site will be a sanitary landfill, it is apparently also planned to set up a waste treatment facility providing for RDF production and composting. As stated by Greater Noida’s city authorities, it is also planned to hire a consultant for project assistance.
