Reliance Industries (RI) is collaborating with DBS Bank India to set up a financing programme for farmers to manage crop residues that should be used to produce CNG.

The initiative intends to stimulate and finance the agricultural residue supply chain, support sustainable development, and accelerate the transition to green energy.

As previously reported, RI intends to develop 100 CBG plants over the next 5 years. In total, these plants are expected to process 5.5 million tons of agricultural and other organic waste.
