Satarem launches WtE management project

Engineering company Satarem, a joint venture between Swiss Satarem AG and Indian Shivrams Associates Corporation, have launched an integrated municipal waste management partnership on a PPP basis with municipal waste management company Bangalore Mahanagar Palike. Besides segregation, composting and landfilling facilities, the company is going to establish a 14.5 MW co-incineration WtE plant. Statutory licenses and approvals for the EUR 35 million project have already been granted with financial closure being in the final stages. As reported by Satarem, it is furthermore planned to double the capacity at a later stage.
