Several waste management proposals for Pune Cantonment

The Pune Cantonment Board (PCB), the administrative body of the Pune Cantonment military site in India’s state of Maharashtra, is currently evaluating proposals to improve its solid waste disposal system. As stated by The Times of India, the proposals include setting up a secondary fuel production plant, a plastic Waste-to-Energy facility and a material recycling facility (MRF). According to the PCB, the bidders include an unnamed European company and a subsidiary of an American metal processing firm. Waste generation at the Pune Cantonment currently amounts to 50 tpd.
