The Shimla WtE facility’s operator, Elephant Energy Private Ltd., has missed another deadline to get the plant operational. This is the third time that a deadline for the project could not be met, with the old due dates being December 2016 and March 31st, 2017. According to the company, the project is now scheduled to begin operations in the first week of July 2017. Currently, Elephant Energy is awaiting the arrival of foreign engineers that are going to oversee the trial run of the plant. This was reported by Tribune India.
