Shree Renga Polymers to set up new plastic recycling plant in Karur

Indian plastics recycler and textile manufacturer Shree Renga Polymers plans to invest INR 1 billion (EUR 11 million) into constructing a PET bottle recycling plant in Karur, Tamil Nadu.

The source mentions the two distinct locations Thennilai and Manavasi, but as ecoprog understands, only one facility should be built. With the new facility, the company increases its recycled fibre production capacity sixfold to 130 tpd. The source does not mention the timeframe of the project.
