State targets 40% RE power share by 2030

India is targeting a renewable energy share of 40 % of the country’s total energy mix by 2030. Currently, renewables account for 13%. According to livemint, various US companies, including the US Export Import Bank, General Electric Co. and Westinghouse, are becoming more interested in the Indian energy market. According to the companies, the main reasons for this are that India has a huge potential but a lack of the best available technology.
