Swachh Bharat official calls for new WtE rules

As was reported by The Hindu, the National Technical Expert of India’s Swachh Bharat urban sanitation scheme has called to stop using recyclable and organic waste material in Indian WtE plants. According to the official, especially WtE treatment of organic waste would reduce energy efficiency, as its high moisture content would require significant energy input to evaporate. Furthermore, the expert advocated to also use WtE for district heating.
