According to Mercom India, the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) has released a tender for a 54 MW solar-biomass hybrid project, consisting of a 6 MW biomass plant and four 12 MW solar projects, which can be installed at up to four different locations. The ceiling price for the project was set at INR 4.25 per kWh by PEDA and the power purchase agreement (PPA) has a contract period of 25 years. After signing the PPA, the project has to be commissioned within 24 months. PEDA has stressed that the biomass project had higher priority and would have to be commissioned and synchronized first.
