The Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation (TMC) is facing a departmental inquiry for graft in waste management.

Kerala’s local self-government department (LSGD) has ordered a probe into corruption allegations in the functioning of IT cell for waste management and awarding of consultancy for solid waste management, reports The Times of India.

Responsible state authorities have been asked to submit their report within 15 days.

The vigilance and anti-corruption bureau (VACB) had earlier reported receiving anonymous complaints alleging corruption in the corporation’s waste management activities.
