Trichy Corporation has proposed to develop a 100 tpd capacity recycling plant at Panjapur.

The factory, which is being planned as a public-private partnership (PPP), will collect demolition waste from all across the city and use it to make flooring tiles and concrete blocks.

With the increased development of new properties, disposing of construction and demolition (C&D) waste has become a challenge for the MC. Despite the fact that the firm has set aside around one acre of land in each of the four zones to dump the waste, it is frequently deposited on river banks and abandoned plots, reports The Times of India.
